Beautiful! I love the fact that it is abstract but the more you look at the more I see vague figures or the after effects of movement. Wonderful piece! I'm a printmaker which presents interesting challenges especially when you want to be abstract. Where do you start with your pieces? I mean do you think through your ideas in your head or are these completely spontaneous with little forethought before their creation.
Unfortunately, I don't have anything between "not thinking" and "over-thinking". And when I over-think I ruin everything I touch. So when I paint (or write or draw) it's always very in the moment, with little to no thought as to what might happen next- I add something, take away something, and see where it goes.
I've been in love with printmaking for years, but the one time I tried it (in high school, years ago, I think it was silk screening) my results were very disappointing because I just can't make my brain work that way.
yeah silkscreen too requires a lot of planning to make it look like anything. Maybe you should try etching it is probably the most spontaneous of the bunch i've seen ppl get some truly spectacular textures out of their etchings that are similar to your paintings. All my prints are woodblock and they work really well for me there are so many different ways to make a print there is something for everyone to try
